The clients, a family from both France and Sweden, made their first UK home purchase with this seven-bedroom, five-bathroom Grade II listed Georgian house. Set in a private plot near the village green, this 1750-built property, once a B&B, had lost many of its original features due to extensive renovations by previous owners.
The designers were chosen to restore the house’s former glory while updating it to meet the family’s needs. The result is a statement home that respects the grandeur of Georgian architecture yet remains calm and refined, maintaining an intimate ambiance within its spacious rooms. The design reflects the clients’ heritage where Parisian luxury is blended with a Scandinavian twist.
